Loo It's a beautiful day, pleasantly cold and plenty of sunshine. I have just had the pleasure of delivering ten bags of chicken feed to one of our local prisons. Both gates were open but I still had to go through all the checks and jump all the hurdles. And all his for only about five meters through the gates. I find that most of the stereotypes of prison guards are correct for some individuals. The gentleman who was helping me tore a bag label and it landed on the floor. A passing ignoramus stopped and demanded that it was picked up. I have no idea whom or what he was. Only that his attitude was confrontational and rude. Needless to say I ignored him, I doubt that did his ego any good. My helper picked it up. I wouldn't have left it with or without him but as I was carrying a bag at the time it would have waited. I'm not sure if it's the type of people they deal with that makes them like that, or if the job attracts that type. It could be both.
Our management have just invented a new form for us to fill in, so far it has taken me a quarter of an hour and it isn't possible to fill in correctly as the spaces provided aren't large enough. Management should have something more useful to do, such as scrapping and replacing our IT system. We are the proud possessors of the world's worst epos system. I doubt it could be made worse if anyone really tried. On that note I'm off my break is over.
See you tomorrow
