We are coming to the end of the seed dressing so perhaps I won't be falling asleep in my chair every night and therefore will be making more regular entries in this blog.  However back to now, sometimes I enter a farm yard that I find a sad sight.  I was in one last week.  I love farm yards and every one tells the story of it's past and the people who have lived worked and often died on the property.  The one I am thinking of showed planing , pride and thought for the future in it's older buildings.  The in fill of newer buildings was poorly planned and there had been little ongoing maintenance.  The whole thing spoke of past glory rather than hope for a bright future.  The setting is beautiful and deserves better even in the uncertain times British agriculture is now facing.
But back to today, the work went well enough despite me forgetting to put the slide on the end of the bag auger fully in place.  Yes it leaked a pile of grain onto the floor, very embarrassing, but it was cleaned up easily enough though my irritation at my mistake will take a little longer to clean up.
See you tomorrow.

It's September already, my wife is back in school tomorrow so it's all down hill to Christmas.  What fun!  I enjoy autumn but I'm not looking forward to going to work in the dark and coming home in the dark.  I've been seed dressing all last week and have nothing particularly exciting to report for the week.  Let's hope the coming week has more to recommend it, but only in a good way. See you tomorrow. Perhaps!
