19/04/16

One farm drop and one other drop both easy enough, followed by a collection of seed, only half a tonne.  From there I had a long run to Standon Mill in Staffordshire.  This is about as far as we get from base and most of the route is motorway.  The motorway wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't for the continual road works.  The drive reminded me why I didn't want to be earning my living driving.  I hate sitting in a queue on a motorway, not fun.  I expected to make the second services on the M6 for my compulsory stop.  Thanks to the road works I had to pull in earlier and I was about thirty seconds late as I entered the services, another slapped wrist, and all for thirty seconds.  The run back was nearly as bad, my driving time light came on just as I was pulling off the A64.  I made it back to the yard with a couple of minutes left, but I did get back in time.  I really didn't want to have to take a break on the side of the A64 but I was lucky with the traffic on the Hopgrove roundabout, for a change.  See you tomorrow.
