31/03/15

Today was very windy with occasional rain for added interest. To make thins worse I got a crack on the head from a wind driven sheet strap at my first drop, not good!  Wore my hard hat when opening and closing the curtains for the rest of the day.  To make things even more fun my second drop was thirty used railway sleepers all to come off by hand, the things weigh up to one hundred kilos.  At least I had help off loading, even half of the help was our last chief executive ie the boss of my boss.  But at least he was willing to get his hand dirty and they came off with only a little sweat.  The rest of the day went well enough for a windy day and I even managed to make a collection form Cherry Tree Mill at Pollington when there wasn't another wagon in sight.  Back at the yard I got off loaded and even managed to get loaded for morning before everything was shut down for a stock take with only one tonne of feed to go on in the morning.  I would have loaded it tonight but it wasn't made, perhaps it will be made by morning.  See you tomorrow.
