Carlton and area today, my usual run. But that was after a full load to Malton store. There wasn't a lot for Carlton store and only three drops to go along with it. The only bad point was that the drops wee spread from Gilberdyke to Cawood which slowed me down. Then, horror, I had to collect a mixed load of seed grain from Little Airmyn. How and why anyone developed a business like that three miles down a single track dead end road I have no idea. Bulk grain has to be delivered in and bagged seed collected. Perhaps that's why the office staff are the most miserable people I have the misfortune to meet, never a smile and a minimum of words. The yard staff are a complete contrast, cheerful, helpful and good at their jobs, this nearly makes up for the office staff. The only good thing about the whole collection was the picture below which I took on the way out.
I delivered seed to four customers on the way back, as per instructions and brought the rest back to the yard to tip in the morning. See you tomorrow.
