I forgot to mention the bug in yesterday's post. It was a small black beetle, possibly a pollen beetle. No I didn't splat it, honestly I didn't. For reasons known only it itself it landed on the windscreen at about eye level and there it clung, defying the wind and vibrations. It rode there, moving only occasionally as we travelled. It stayed with me all the way back to base at Amotherby. It must have travelled about forty miles in this fashion, clinging grimly to the glass. Back at base it flew off without so much as a thank you. Perhaps it didn't want to be in Amotherby. The only other remarkable thing about the day was that it's our wedding anniversary, thirty one years, isn't she lucky ;~) See you tomorrow.
